The Spondon Community Association (SCA) was formed in 1977 and acts as an umbrella organisation for other Spondon groups of all types, aiming to provide for the welfare of residents of Spondon.

As well as managing the Village Hall for the community, the SCA is also involved in numerous other activities throughout the village including fund-raising and general entertainment events.

The SCA has also spawned the formation of a sub-committee, the Village Improvement Committee.
