The Village Improvement Committee (VIC) is a sub-committee of the Spondon Community Association, dedicated to proposing and implementing enhancements to Spondon village which will benefit the residents of, businesses in, and visitors to, the village.

The committee is committed to trying to give Spondon a more positive image and already has a number of successful achievements under its belt. The VIC continue to raise funds for the village through a series of events, which also provide excellent fun and entertainment, helping to maintain the community spirit that has always given Spondon its unique feel.

The VIC has been instrumental in Spondon's recent successes in the Britain in Bloom competitions and is responsible for some of the regeneration in the village such as the Sensory Garden on Chapel Street and the siting of the Millenium Clock in Chapelside.
