As part of the Remembrance Day weekend, there will be a showing of "No Man's Land", a film by John Psathas.  This is a unique  musical work of many styles - a reflection on the power of music and the horror of war. Filmed in France, Belgium, Poland, India and New Zealand it features over 150 musicians from 20 countries as well as archive stills.

An extract of the film can be viewed here.

It will be shown in the Methodist Hall on Saturday 10th November, starting at 4pm, lasting about 80 minutes; refreshments will be available afterwards. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be collected for the Spondon branch of the Royal British Legion. This will be the first opportunity to buy the new Spondon Archives book on the village's war memorials.
