In 1998, former Spondonian Ken Porter put together his fabulous site detailing the history of Spondon. This is the one of the most comprehensive sites you will find relating to the village and is a fascinating, detailed and personal account of the village's past.
Spondon Historical Society The historical society meet monthly in the Village Hall and have a wealth of information about the history of Spondon and the surrounding area. You can contact them on Derby 662104 or attend their monthly meeting on the 2nd Monday of each month (7:30pm).
