Charity cricket event knocks fundraising total for six

This year's annual charity cricket match between Spondon CC and the Derby County Allstars team was another huge success on Sunday 2nd August.

More than 1,000 people came to watch Spondon CC score a narrow victory over their DCFC rivals to lift the new Colin Bloomfield Memorial Trophy for the first time.

Following the match, event organiser Neil Bennett announced that the final amount raised at the event was a brilliant £3,270, to be split between Derby County Community Trust & the Colin Bloomfield Melanoma Appeal. A great result!

A big thanks to everyone who was involved or came along to the event and huge congratulations to organiser Neil Bennett for another brilliant day!
