Road safety action in Spondon

Spondon Neighbourhood Board is working in partnership with the local Police, Fire Service, Schools and the Councils Civil Enforcement Officers as part of a school parking campaign.

Alongside the use of the CCTV camera car, the visits outside schools will advise parents on how and where to park around schools to make sure we keep our children safe and respect local residents driveways and access.

This campaign is one part of the Board’s work to improve road safety and tackle inconsiderate parking. The Board has worked with Borrow Wood School earlier this year on a '10 minute walk to school' project and will be working with Springfield School on a 'Pollution Challenge' project in the new year.
