Parking on Grass Verges and footways

Thank you to majority of residents who do not park on footways or grass verges. Your consideration for others and respect for your community is appreciated.

Everyone knows that verges are easily damaged especially during wet conditions and soon become unsightly when people park without consideration for others or their community.

Verges are designed to be amenity areas for local communities to enjoy and are not for vehicular use. Driving over or parking on verges can also damage pipes or services and the cost of any damage may be recharged to the owner of the vehicle involved.

Driving along or parking on the footway or verge can also be extremely dangerous and can cause an obstruction putting pedestrians especially children at risk.
