School Parking Campaign continues in Spondon

The School Parking Campaign in Spondon continues to be funded by Spondon Neighbourhood Board working in partnership with the local Police, Fire Service, Schools and funding additional hours of the Councils Civil Enforcement Officers.

The campaign has included high visibility visits outside schools raising awareness of the impact of driving to and from the school gates.

The campaign has provided information leaflets advising vehicle drivers and parents ways to make sure we keep our children safe and respect local residents driveways and access.

This campaign to help change behaviours is one part of Spondon Boards work to improve road safety and tackle inconsiderate parking.

Look out for the new bollards being installed on footways at Devas Gardens to deter parking on the footway used by the children walking to and from school.
