Neighbourhood Board welcomes new team for 2015/16

Spondon Neighbourhood Board has reviewed its membership for 2015/16.

The Board is made up of local residents, community group representatives, local Councillors and representatives of public services. Working in partnership to address local priorities, the Board allocates funding to projects, activities and community groups. There are also sub groups to identify ways to tackle local issues and new members are always welcome to support one of our sub group meetings.

The sub-groups are:

  • Highways
  • Youth
  • Communications
  • Safer Spondon

We also work closely with the Spondon Village Rejuvenation Team , all of whom are happy to welcome new members wishing to play a part in Village life.

This year, we will be joined by the new Spondon Councillor - Nicola Roulstone, keen to start her new role. However, it is with great sadness that the Board will be without Board Member Corrine Eyre who has sadly passed away.  Corrine was an active Board member, never shy of hard work and impressed us all with her common sense approach to problem solving and her love for Spondon.  We will all miss her.
