Spondon memories recalled in new book

The latest book in the Spondon Archive series explores life in Spondon from the late Victorian era up to 1976 through the eyes of former local resident, John Stower.

From tales of boyhood exploits to later fighting in both world wars and going on to have a wife and family of his own, John has left memories of a Spondon long gone. These are now shared in this latest publication in the ongoing series of books documenting Spondon's past.

The new book, the 19th in the series, is available to buy now from Housley Pharmacy and Simnett Funeral Directors in the village centre. It will also be available to purchase at the VIC Spring Fair at Spondon Village Hall on Saturday 13th May (9.30am to Noon), along with all the other books too.
