Praise and thanks for Spondon Village Festival

Spondon Village Festival took place on 11th September 2010 and was an amazing success. The Neighbourhood Board would like to thank the organisers of the festival, Spondon residents Angie Doughty, Emma Donald, Sue Miller, Lauren Cook and Alan England.

They were supported by a large number of local groups, organisations and businesses. The Festival was sponsored and supported by a number of Spondon businesses, residents and community associations including Spondon Neighborhood Board who gave a grant to the Festival of £2000.

The Spondon Village Festival website and Spondon Online is also run and organised by Steve Allen who does a fantastic job of letting residents know who, what, where and when things are happening in Spondon.

A big thank you also has to go out to the Spondon Army Cadet Force and Spondon Youth Club. Without the help of these young people the event would not have been as successful as it was. There were over 200 young Spondon residents from these two organisations who helped. Fantastic.

Spondon Village Festival is a free, not-for-profit event for all the community to enjoy. Many thanks go to all the sponsors and supporters for their generous help in making this event happen.
