Around the village
Spondon Social Safari as run for several years, having started out visiting gardens it has progressed to a social event where participants; run an event of their own choice, raise funds for a charity of their choice and make a donation to the Spondon Village Improvement Committee. This donation is used to support maintain and improve the gardens and planters in and around the village.
It is a fun, social event with many participants taking part year after year. Last year, there were 24 participating venues and over £5000 was raised for the chosen causes. The programme is now available at the Librray, in shops around the village or can be downloaded here.
